Feedback for Analytical Report

What I plan to do to solicit feedback on my analytical report draft:
Since I have just finished my analytical report for the Fargo Theatre, I am now looking for ways that I can get feedback on the report so I can make any necessary changes before the final due date. I have sent an e-mail with the attachment of my report to a student who was part of my group for the proposal, Nathan Kroh. I have also sent a copy of my analytical report to my professor, Doc Mara, for feedback. Hopefully, these two will get back to me in a timely manner with any suggestions, feedback, corrections, questions, etc. that they might have for me, so I am able to incorporate these improvements into my final draft of the report. I also intend to look over the analytical report myself and read it completely through with a critical eye to see if everything makes sense and flows well from beginning to finish. I thought about also having some of the students I surveyed look over the final report to see if my suggestions make sense to them and to see if the report flows for them. After all of these people offer me their feedback, I will be able to complete the final analytical report.

Project Plan for Fargo Theatre

My plan of attack for this project is to first conduct further in-depth studies with the students at NDSU. I want to now ask them questions about what kind of media influences them the most. I want to know if they pay attention to Thundar Radio more than the college newspaper or if their more receptive to online forums or posters in the student Memorial Union. I want to go into further detail about what types of movies they would like to see played at the Fargo Theatre. I plan to actually ask, very bluntly, students exactly what it would take to get them to visit the Fargo Theatre, if anything. I then want to take my research to the different types of marketing and advertising. I would ideally like to go to the college radio station and see if they have any research that I could use as my secondary research for this project. I want to see what kind of studies they’ve done on the students around campus. I want to know who is listening to the radio, at what times, what grabs their attention, etc. I want to do the same type of research with the college newspaper. I want to see if they have done any research on the number of students across campus who read the paper, etc. Also, I would like to go to some of the businesses that have put their own advertisements in the school newspaper (especially those with coupons) to see whether or not they felt those advertisements were successful. I also want to keep Margie involved as much as I can, without bothering her, to see what she would like to see happen with the Fargo Theatre, and how she feels it should be marketed, and also what kind of ideas she may have that she would like to see pursued. Next I plan on finding and implementing the best (as well as cheapest) way for the Fargo Theatre to get across to the students on the NDSU campus, as well as other campuses in the area and putting this all together in a thought out and professional plan for the Fargo Theatre.

Marketing Proposal for Theatre

Define the mission: Create/propose ideas for a marketing plan for the Fargo Theatre by March 27, 2008.

Setting objectives: We are being asked to develop a plan for the theatre for their marketing plan. We are not developing a marketing plan.

Defining responsibilities:

Getting together at multiple times during the course of the assignment due date to collaborate the information and research that we have collected. We need to start by doing the “forming” and “storming” part of the teaming stages. This includes defining the mission and setting objectives and responsibilities which will help us to understand what this project is about. We want to get together as a group early on to have meetings together out of class, so we have plenty of time to organize all of our information into a proposal that is well suited for the Fargo Theatre. We want to start by identifying the target market of the theatre and how we can better market to them. We want to look specifically at student groups on the NDSU campus, possibly including other colleges in the area as well, and also targeting online forums. We need to take a look at what kind of resources the Fargo Theatre has with regards to their cash, supplies, etc.

My Business Career Path

In ten years, I'm not exactly sure what I want to be doing. I know that I DON'T want to be back at home. I know that I do want to be working, hopefully making enough money to live comfortably. I don't mind having to deal with people on a daily basis, but I don't like sitting at a desk all day, unless the work I'm doing is new and interesting. I don't want to be working in the store, doing retail or managing, etc. I want to be at the corporate level, working my 9am - 5pm job, five days a week. After almost five years of school, I have thought about going in a line of work where I wouldn't even be using my college degree. The job I've been looking into is Guardian ad Litem work. It deals with kids and the court system, whether they be juvenile delinquents or children involved in their parents' divorce. I would basically give my recommendation on what should happen to those children to the court after doing some family background digging, interviewing, etc. This is a state trained program. Initially, you pay the state to train you for eighty hours, and once your training is complete and you've become certified, they pay you back and you are able to begin your career. This is just an option that I've considered. I haven't seen a job, as of yet, that has really jumped out at me as something that I would like to be doing for the rest of my life, so that continues to be a daily search.
